Residual toxicity of four insecticides on larvae and adults of the predator Chrysoperla externa (Hagen, 1861) (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae)

Abstract The objective was to evaluate the residual action of insecticides acetamiprid + etofenprox, spinetoram, indoxacarb and methoxyfenozide on predator Chrysoperla externa Hagen, 1861 (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae). bioassays followed methodologies proposed by International Organization for Biological Integrated Control (IOBC). were sprayed grapevine plants cv. Burgundy, using maximum recommended field dosage fruit trees. Larvae adults exposed leaves containing insecticide residues, at 3, 10, 17, 24 31 days after spraying, determine effect following biological parameters: mortality, fecundity fertility. Based toxicity observed during bioassays, classified according IOBC persistence scale. Spinetoram as moderately persistent larvae slightly adults, also he consideredpersistent a short-lived adult stage lacewing, thus showing difference in susceptibility between stages development C. externa. etofenprox are most suitable ecologically safe application, areas where occurs because they larval
